In our company, we have keep technical doc in pdf files
indexed with catalog for full text search. Now we want to
distribute datasheets to our customers.
As far as I know, the free Acrobat Reader does not have the
"search in many documents" feature and I cannot expect the
customers to have Acrobat full version.

is there any easy-to-use tool to perform search in CD without
installing too much stuff in the customer computer?

In '97 there was the altavista personal search that was
probably too nice to be free. It has been removed from the
world and no more upgraded.

Do you know any tool for doing this?

Thanks to all
