I am having awful trouble getting the Acrobat type library working properly in .net using c#.

In the project I create a reference to (Adobe Acrobat 5.0 Type Library) then try to create an instance of the Acrobat object like this:

Acrobat.CAcroApp app ; //this works
app = new Acrobat.CAcroApp(); //this line will not compile!!

The message = Cannot create an instance of the abstract class or interface 'Acrobat.CAcroApp'

So I tried doing:

Acrobat.CAcroApp app ;
Type AcrobatType;
AcrobatType = Type.GetTypeFromCLSID(new System.Guid("{9B4CD3E6-4981-101B-9CA8-9240CE2738AE}"));
app = (Acrobat.CAcroApp) Activator.CreateInstance(AcrobatType);

This compiles but throws this error :

An unhandled exception of type 'System.MemberAccessException' occurred in mscorlib.dll
Additional information: Cannot create an instance of an interface.

What the!!???
