I know this about named destinations:
I can use them with bookmarks and links.
I can use them for links within a PDF and to another PDF.
My understanding is that using named destinations is the only way to accommodate possible page insertions and deletions, i.e., to ensure a link or bookmark goes to the same place even if pages are inserted or deleted from that PDF.
Please confirm. I really need a sanity check.
