Topic: Printing out of order in Reader 5

I wrote an application a couple of years ago which automates printing of PDF files by using the Windows ShellExecute API to open a file with the Print command. When a user recently had Reader 5 installed - the pages started arriving at the printer out of order. For example - they might have queued up 6 reports. On report 1 they asked for 3 copies and on report 2 they asked for 1 and 2 for report 3 etc. Each multiple request is another call to the API since you can't specify number of copies with this API technique. So I loop through 3 times to send report 1. Copy 1 of report 1 arrives ok - but then report 2 prints - and then the next copy of report 1 and then report 3 prints a few pages and then before it is finished it starts printing copy 3 of report 1 and then finishes report 3 when that is done - etc. etc. etc.
Does anybody have a clue why this works fine in Acrobat Reader 3 and 4 but does this in version 5 - and how I can avoid the problem? Thanks mucho!

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
