Topic: Distiller PPD needs PS driver? (already installed)

I have an PC running XP and am having problems installing Acrobat 4.05.

I can install everything but the Distiller PPD. This error message appears but doesn't make sense:

"The Acrobat Distiller printer requires Win 2000 PS driver. This driver is not installed on your system, so the Acrobat Distiller printer will not be created. To create the a Distiller printer, please install any PS printer and re-run the installer"

Fair enough....but I successfully print to a network PS printer day in, day out. I even installed Adobe's latest Universal PS drivers without any change.

Would giving Acrobat 5 a go be worth it? or am I missing something blindingly obvious here?

Cheers!
