I have spent a big chunk of the last two days researching this issue myself. MS Word achieves the functionality you want through Section Breaks / Page Setup. It does this by integrating tightly with the nominated printer driver. Unfortunately, Acrobat explicitly seeks to remain generic and cross platform (of course this has been its secret to success). A PDF file would immediately lose it generic nature if printer-driver-specific-code was inserted into the PDF file. The next person to open and print the PDF would not be able to print the file as you had intended unless they had the same printer. You see the problem. This issue exists for MS Word as well.
I have spent a lot of time scouring the web for a third party utility that allows a user to mark up PDF pages with paper cassette selections throughout. I have found one program called "Batch and Print Pro" by Traction Software. A guy called Lee noticed my posting in this forum and let me know about it:

This application provides a work-around by making you break the document up into segments, then inserting paper cassette commands between each segment in the batch print queue. It works, but the workflow for our purposes is a little messy. Still, beggars can't be choosers.
My need is the same as yours. If you find something better PLEASE let me know.
