Following an advice of Leonard we try to imbed a True Type font in our PDF documents. We extracted the fonts using Windows APIS and used the following objects in the PDF document, but the font seems not valid because Acrobat Reader uses a substitution font. Which parameters are critical, e.g. is it necessary to specify the widths, etc?

11 0 obj << /Type /Font /Subtype /TrueType /Name /TT1 /FirstChar 32 /LastChar 256 /Widths [600] /Encoding /WinAnsiEncoding /BaseFont /BU_Monospace821BT /FontDescriptor 12 0 R
>>
endobj

12 0 obj << /Type /FontDescriptor /Ascent 832 /CapHeight 0 /Descent -300 /Flags 34 /FontBBox [ -21 -680 638 1021 ] /FontName /BU_Monospace821BT /ItalicAngle 0 /StemV 0 /MissingWidth 600 /FontFile2 13 0 R
>>
endobj

13 0 obj << /Length1 45773 >>
stream
..........
endstream
endobj
