I want to make a text field read-only when an FDF is loaded. I looked at the FDF API and wasn't able to located a method to set the read-only attribute of a particular field, is there one?

Another approach I tries was to create a hidden field, the use the toolkit to set it to 1 (true) so that some field can be set to true. So, I start with a form, submit the form with #FDF, then when the form updates, I want to set those fields to read-only based on the value of the hidden field. What I don't know is how to trigger the JS call to my function when the form updated with the new FDF?

I'm familiar with JS and HTML DOM, but I'm not quite sure when different events file so I can get JS functions executed, especially when I submit a form using #FDF.
