Topic: Embedded PDF in a PDF?

I've searched the archives but I can't seem to find any posts about this, which can mean one of two things. Either no one does this (this seems highly unlikely), or I'm stoopid (a lot more likely). The thing is, I want to have a vector graphic in my PDF document, but being lazy as I am and from what I've read in the PDF Reference, it's possible to embed a PDF file as a Form XObject with the optional /Ref dictionary. This made this lazy git happy enough to try, but I can not seem to make it work. I only get the "proxy" to draw instead of the specified /Page...
Does anyone know how to do this? Or is there a simpler way to incorporate vector graphics without the hassle of converting it to PDF paths?
Any help at all appreciated...
This is what my PDF data looks like:
8 0 obj
/BBox [ 0 0 100 100 ]
/Resources << /ProcSet [ /PDF /Text /ImageC ] >>
/Ref << /F << /Type /Filespec /F (/c/x.pdf) /EF << /F 9 0 R >> >> /Page 1 >>
0 0 m
100 100 l
0 100 m
100 0 l
9 0 obj
