Topic: How to Set Filename for Web Plugin PDF?
Conf: (P-PDF) Beginners, Msg: 80722

I'm wondering if there is any way to set the filename in acrobat viewer when displaying a PDF through a web browser?

I have a database generating the PDF and the PDF Viewer, when the user hits "save", sets the filename to the ugly CGI url. I'd like to be able to set the filename to something nice.

For instance: I might have a CGI with the url produce_cgi.php?ID=1000. Hitting "save" on a PDF generated by this produces the filename "produce_cgi.php", the same filename for every generated PDF. Yuck.

I'd like to have my database set the target filename for the generated PDF by author & date of the article. Is there any way to do this? Is there any documentation of any parameters I can feed the PDF viewer through http/html headers?

I am having trouble finding any information on how to set anything for plugin acrobat.

Thanks,

earth
