Topic: suppressing page nn of nn display?

Perhaps there is a solution in this forum already, but is there a way to suppress the "page nn of nn" that's displayed at the bottom of a page when you view a PDF in Acrobat Reader?

Our hotline consultants are always asked by their clients on the phone as to what page number they are referring to.

Our Pubs dept. numbers our docs according to the page numbers *in* the document, according to our standards. So, when you go to page 3, you go to the page 3 that's in the doc. Page 3 might actually be Page 11 of 87.

But, there's no reason why the end-user (reader) of the doc should have to know this extra page information (page nn of nn). They just need to know the page n, not the page nn of nn information.

I hope this makes sense.

Thanks for any help. Anne

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
