Hi Folks,

I amn't sure if this is the correct FORUM for this question.
Anyhow, i am facing a tricky problem,probably somebody can help me out with suggestions !

I am developing an Acrobat plug-in (VC++/Windows98/2000/SDK 5R3)which needs to do some XML parsing. For that i am using the Apache Xerces-C++ XML parser (

I am using the API XMLString::transcode for string processing, regarding the use of

char* XMLString::transcode():

The returned buffer is dynamically allocated and is the
responsibility of the caller to delete it when not longer needed.

In my code, I set a char * to a transcoded string, and then
try to delete it later, I get an assertion in windows. On investigation i found that " it's probably because i am linking my plug-in with the incorrect run-time library."

My plug-in project is "Debug Multithread", and so i made my parser project also "Debug Multithread".
Unfortunately that didn't work for me.

I have some quries:

(a) Can i use external DLL's from with in an Acrobat plug-in?.
(b) If,YES, which is the correct "Run time library" mode for compiling the external DLL.

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
