I understand that Acrobat is not licensed for use on a server, but I still have a few questions regarding the subject.
I placed a VB written app that converts TIF images to PDF on a Windows 2000 server. I have the single instance license and the VB app runs as a single instance. Since Acrobat is being automated by the VB app (the single instance) and it is not being controlled in any manner by additional/outside users, am I still abusing the license restrictions.
If so, what would the difference be if I placed that same VB app on my workstation and ran it ? It would still be performing the same function, but it would just be running under my login instead of the server login.
The app resides on a W2K server because it accesses a SQL database (with security restrictions) and it needs the "horsepower" that accompanies the server.
