Topic: IE crashes on PDF browser win close

I have a few PDF files that my website displays via secondary (child) browser windows. The secondary browser opens fine, the PDF loads perfectly but if the user closes that window IE crashes and closes all related IE browser windows.

I link to the PDFs using the format < a href="mypdf.pdf" target="newwindow">Sample mypdf< /a >

IE 5 and IE 6 both crash exactly the same so I'm inclined to believe the problem is directly with the PDF itself.

Acrobat 5.0.1 was used to create these PDFs.

Any advice or guidance is greatly appreciated.
