Assuming everything would fit on the same line and wouldn't
require wrapping that would certainly make it easier. Though that still
doesn't help you since I don't believe there are any search/replace tools
for PDF.

Actually EMF might be easier to do it on...but something more text
oriented (XML, HTML, RTF, etc) would be best.
How are you converting EMF->PDF?
