I can't help except to say my new HP Scanjet 2300c doesn't work under 6.0 either. Apparently Adobe doesn't do a thorough job testing their products because I remember when 5.0 came out, PDFWriter did not work in MSWord, which was a "slight" problem! I must have talked to the same tech support person because they just told me, "We're not sure, have you checked online at Google?" And then they gave me the toll number for support to make sure I'd call back.
Not this time.
