Hi,

I work for a small IT support company and have had a request from one of our clients to recommend some suitable software for converting scanned documents to PDF files.

The requirement is to scan in a batch of papers (in this case utility bills) and file them on the server in PDF format. At the moment they are using an HP 7400c and the standard HP software, but this is slow and labour intensive because each bill has to be scanned and saved individually.

They would like a method of scanning in several bills at once then separate and save them individually whilst keeping the pages from one bill together in one PDF file. There is a structured file system on the server and they use a coding system to identify the clients.

So far I have downloaded the trial version of scan2pdf which does some of what we are looking for but is a little to basic, from looking around the web other possible solutions seem to be PDF.Capture by Doculex, TextBridge Pro by Scansoft, or DocComposer by image solutions. Unfortunately none of these offer a trial version, so if possible I would like some advice on these products, will they do what i require ? are they easy to use ? is there something else that I havenít looked at ?

All help and advise gracefully received.

Regards,

Phill:J

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
