Topic: Acro 6 Distiller Registry & Security

Can't find this covered in the SDK, so I thought I would post here and see if anyone has a handle on this issue:

In Acro 5, the registry entries for passwords used to encrypt & secure a PDF file created by Distiller were stored in plain text (strong stuff ). In Acro 6, they are now stored as binary values; in some hashed (read loose encrypt ion) format.

Key is HKCU\Adobe\Acrobat Distiller\6.0\Security

I need to be able to set these keys by code for an automation process and wonder if anyone has seen if Adobe has published anything on this, (or has figured out the hash). I'm loathe to spend the $ to call their developer support only to find out they won't divulge.
