Topic: Paths in PDF for Asia (Via Email)

I am creating a PDF document for some colleagues in Asia; they will be doing
all production out of Singapore. My colleagues have requested a "path" PDF
file and a "no-path" PDF file. I am not familiar with this. I asked the
print vendor that I work with in the US about it. He said that he thinks
they are referring to fonts/languages that could cause problems in Asia. He
thinks as long as I "embed all fonts" (which I do) in the PDF, it should be
okay (this would be the "no-path" version).

However, he also mentioned that it's possible to create paths using
Illustrator (opening the PDF in Illustrator and creating paths). I tried
this (I'm not an expert in Illustrator either), but got a bit confused.

Can anyone shed more light on this "paths" / "no-paths" issue? If I give my
colleagues the native FrameMaker desktop files, plus the PostScript file in
addition to the "no-path" PDF, would they be able to create (or give it to
someone) to create the necessary paths? What exactly is involved in creating
a PDF with paths?

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
