I am putting together a second-tier catalogue of technical specifications and ordering criteria for an industrial machinery parts distributor. He handles products from 20-25 manufacturers, and 'manufacturer' is the prime sorting criterion. Most of those manufacturers already have their technical and ordering information available in PDF files, so it is a matter of collecting those, converting data from a couple of others (powerpoint and word, so far) and putting them on a Cd with an autorun setup for Acrobat Viewer.
I need a well designed and tiered Table of Contents which customers can move from (and back to). So the question: assuming that I could organize this material in many files (say, for discussion's sake, one per manufacturer) with a linked ToC file, or pull it all into one file with detailed Bookmarks/ToC.
Could someone please run through the advantages and disadvantages of these two approaches? I am a neophyte in matters pdf, and your counsel will be gratefully received.
Thanks... Cam Morton

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
