My attempts at installing Acrobat Professional 6.0 and Reader 6.0 were total flops, and I'm wondering if anyone has experienced the same problems I have and also overcome them.

Reader 6.0 installed with no errors, but when I ran it, it died with a window reading "Application error in AcroRd32.exe. Exception: access violation (0xc0000005), Address 0x005f0d05."

Acrobat Professional 6.0 also installed with no errors, but when I opened any PDFs that have graphics, I received a "Drawing Error". One or two PDFs with no graphics were viewable, but I haven't made a study of a positive relationship to graphics in the file.

My environment is Windows NT 4.0, SP 6. I forget the build #, but the system properties say the OS is Windows NT 4.00.1381, and that MSIE is at 5.6.0.2800.1106. A co-worker with the same environment experienced the same problem with Acrobat (but didn't try Reader).
