Topic: Form Field Validation Errors

I am new to both PDF Form creation and to Javascripting, I have created an order form and I have some fields that are required. I have created a button and placed a javascript on the MouseUp Action. When I click on this button, I am getting the following error:

TypeError: a has no properties

I am using a Doc level script to define an array of the fields that are required. This is what I put there:

vfield=new Array();

Then on the MouseUp action of the button I have:

var complete=true

for(var i=0;i var a=this.getField(vfield[i]);
app.a lert("Form is incomplete! Please make sure that all required fields have been completed.");
app.a lert("Script is working");\\Will replace with Submit when ready.

I have verified that all of the field names are typed correctly in the Array definition, but am stumped as to why I am still getting this error.

Any help that you could provide would be appreciated.

Thank you,

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
