To all,

Our company has a large collection of multipage tif images (Aldus tif). We want to be able to convert these tif files into pdf files. We are looking for a Photoshop7 plug-in or a standalone software application that can perform the following tasks:

1. Point to a source directory
2. Open the first tif file
3. Print to the distiller (creating a pdf)
4. Save newly created pdf file to a destination directory
5. Repeat steps with remaining files in the source directory

We are running PIII 933Mhz PCs, 512M RAM, WinXP Pro SR1 OS, and Acrobat 6.0

If anyone has any information on available products or instruction it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

Robert L. Berman

Why eBooks and mobile devices don't (yet) pose an existential threat to the PDF

Continuous upheaval is what makes watching the technology industry so exciting. David vs. Goliath battles are waged every day, with startups often winning against much larger businesses. For years and years, many have predicted the decline of the PDF given its age and perceived disadvantages. Today, with the PDF losing ground in emerging areas like mobile and eBooks, the calls for its ultimate demise are growing louder.
