We have an application where are users scan documents on Win 2000 towards a customer order, using a TWAIN scanner in Tif format. The scanned document is then converted to PDF and FTP'ed to our web Server. The web Server is on AIX Ver 4 running Apache. When our customer goes to retrieve these PDF documents via our web server they render perfectly the first time in IE 6.0. When he closes the IE window and renders the document again it brings junk up. If he closes this and brings it up again, everything comes up correctly. This happens alternatively.
When I FTP the file back from webServer to my PC on Windows 2000, everything comes up nicely irrespective of the number of times, I bring it up. Is there a problem with generating PDF on Windows and viewing them from AIX. Is there a way I can scan directly to PDF eliminating the need to convert from TIf to PDF. I am using OLE to convert from TIF to PDF at this time.
