Topic: Major Error in Adobe Documentation?

From Acrobat Interapplication Communication Reference, version 5.0, page 143:
"Return Value
A positive number if the text was found, 0 otherwise."

EVERY SINGLE TIME I call the FindText method, I have Visual Basic do a Debug.Print of the return value of the method. Regardless of whether it finds it or not, it returns a value of no other number than -1! What is going on???

This method is not working at all as intended, and frankly, I don't see any use for it whatsoever in this state. The return value does not specify what a value of -1 means; it may be an error value, but I do not have any way of knowing what the nature of the error is, or whether it IS an error.

Common sense tells me there is some kind of problem, but I need to determine fairly quickly the nature of the problem.

TIA,

Sean
