Topic: pdfSearch indexing nightmare

We use pdfSearch to allow our users to perform keyword searching within our document library system... The problem here is that we have thousands of documents sitting in multiple directories (organised by type of document e.g. policy or procedure, and then by department)

e.g. index/procedure/Slag Milling/
index/procedure/Human Resources
index/forms/Information Technology

Now pdfSearch DOES NOT allow you the simple option to choose the index folder (root) and ALL documents in any its subdirectories... imagine how easy indexing would be then !!!!!! Our DMS is updated daily so I have to physically find out what new directories have been made, and then rebuild the index...

Can you imagine getting the initial index set up - a bloody nightmare... Why is it that the developers cannot include this simple function in such an excellent product???? (expensive too)

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
