Topic: Insert JPG to PDF by C-DLL (no Plug-In)

Hello

I'd like to write a C-DLL to insert JPGs to existing PDF pages.
In the Adobe SDK I found some sample code for creating a plug-in (AddImage), but I don't want to use this technique.
Instead I'd prefer to do this by an own DLL (its functions would be called then by VisualBasic).

My question is: What kind of declarations are necessary in such a project?
- Do I have to include any special header files (i.e. from the Adobe SDK)?
- Is there an Adobe library which has to be linked?

In fact I found several C source code samples which use Adobe Core API functions (such as 'ASFileSysOpenFile' or 'PDEImageAttrs') but it's not apparent, how and where they are declared.

I greatly would appreciate some hints or infos (English or German) about this topic.

Greetings
