Topic: Converting Word to PDF using VB

Hi All,

I have searched the board and I know there are a number of topics on this subject, but I'm still not 100% sure of the best method - perhaps someone could give me a definitive answer?

I have Acrobat 6.0 Professional, and I have developed an application in VB6 which generates word documents. I would like to use Acrobat automation/integration to convert/output the Word document into a PDF file.

From my searches of this board I get the impression that this is not possible without a third-party (ActiveX) control of some sort. Surely if I have the full version of Acrobat it must be possible to automate it to convert the Word docs? Having said that, my app is used by a number of clients - if it is indeed possible via Acrobat then I guess that they would also need it to be installed?

Can anyone tell me what my options are please?

Sorry for the long post, and from a newbie as well!! Any help/advice would be much appreciated!

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
