Topic: Acrobat Internal 'Find' using I-Filter and Index Server

I have previously posted this in the General Forum without success. I've no further with this problem and would appreciate some direction. If it's a 'dumb' question let me know please:

We have just started using Index Server to index PDF files on a local network. The indexing and search works as advertised and returns a list of applicable PDF documents quickly.

However, after clicking on the hyperlink and initializing Adobe Reader, the Acrobat internal search (Acrobat Reader 'find' feature) takes FOREVER on documents in excess of approximately 100 pages.

Our only clue: In the lower left portion of the Reader screen next to the page of pages area, is a notation "x number of items remaining". When the 'items remaining' counts down to zero the notation finally goes away, the internal find of the document starts.

Anyone know how to speed this process up... and/or what the "items remaining" refers to; what generates it; and what might be done to correct it. We suspect it has to do with the number of data blocs being download. We'd be very appreciative.
