If someone would like to help a newbie out here's my situation.

I'm a developer on an AS/400, who stumbled upon some code to convert spooled files to PDF. I played with the code, and thanks to other posts on this site and the pdf manual, was able fix it so that the xref is not regenerated when the document is opened. :)

Now it seems that I have ran into a page size problem. If I convert a spooled file which is less than 128 pages, everything seems fine. As soon as I go over 128 pages, I start getting some errors. Can someone point me in the right direction?

I created a small report which only prints the page number on a page, and converted the spooled files to pdf. Here's the results.....

Click to open!pgtest-1.PDF
1 page sample - ok (1,265 bytes)

Click to open!pgtest-2.PDF
2 page sample - ok (1,773 bytes)

Click to open!pgtest-128.pdf
128 page sample - ok (66,857 bytes)

Click to open!pgtest-129.pdf
129 page sample - errors (67,363 bytes)

Click to open!pgtest-130.PDF
130 page sample - errors (67,866 bytes)

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
