Topic: Catalog options: Do not warn for changed documents when searching

I'm having a problem with the Catalog feature of Acrobat 6.0 Professional.

I have a need to replace some individual PDFs within a cataloged collection -AFTER- I have cataloged them. There's an entry in the Catalog index options that seems to imply that I can do this. (In the Options section of the Index Definition dialogue there's a checkbox that says "Do not warn for changed documents when searching".

I should note that I did not originally have that checkbox selected when I originally built the index, but I have purged and rebuilt the index (and then substituted) and get the "please recatalog" message again.

Am I misunderstanding the intent of "Do not warn for changed documents when searching"? Or is it broken?

Right now, if I do that I receive the following message from Adobe Reader 6.0 - "the document was modified - please recatalog".

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
