Topic: PDF loses its association to a .pdx file

I'd really appreciate any help with this problem.

I am creating a PDF "portal" to a document set (consisting of some 17 documents.) I have created an index.pdx file, and can use this to search all the documents perfectly on my own PC.

I then submit my portal PDF document, and the .pdx file, to our software configuration management system, Perforce. A colleague then runs a script to check out the portal PDF, the .pdx file (which is in the same folder), all the index support files (which are in a folder below the .pdx file), and the 17 pdf documents (which are scattered in different folders in Perforce, but placed in a single folder when checked out by the script.) All this replicates the folder structure on my pc exactly.

However, when we try and open the portal PDF, we get a message saying that the index associated with the document is not available.

Is there anything obvious (or not obvious!) that we are doing wrong?

Thanks

Annie

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
