Topic: SDK 5.0 Plugin not working with Adobe 6.0

Hi Aandi
Me and my collegue (Jim) have posted this issue almost everywhere now.
THe plugin is developed in VB and it makes a call to open a pdf document in viewer/reader and then further processing is done on that PDF.
Problem we are having when we upgraded to 6.0 is the open
IAC call which opens up a PDF document is not intializing the reader plugin that loads in Acrobat. My wild guess.
I am almost certain that the viewer is not opening up , hence the PDF file doesn't open with it and hence everything fails after that. However the call opens up the Adobe application window without any PDF(blank). I then manually open the PDF file in the already launched application and everything works as its supposed to.

With Adobe 5.0, a user opens a PDF file for processing and it opens up the Adobe application with the viewer/reader and once it gets the handle to the current document that's open, processing continues successfully.

In short, with 6.0 the initial part is not happening.

Any help/info will be greatly appreciated.

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
