Topic: Adding fields when printing

I have been tasked to do something with a PDF file - and I'm sure it can be done, but I'm not sure how and can't find my way through the Help file to see how to do it.

The request is to include a field (or series of fields) in the document (an instruction) that will add in the header of every page the following information when 'Print' is selected:

Printed by "username" on "date" for use on job reference "job_ref_no"

where "username" picks up the users logon ID (we use NT4 - or manually entered by user), "date" is the printing date, and "job_ref_no" is a user-entered string (max 25 characters).

I have looked through some of the other help on the forum and think that creating a "Print" Button may be the answer, but I'm getting lost!

The Planetpdf site looks very good - keep it up!
