Topic: Blank browser instead of PDF

I am using Crystal Reports to generate a report and then generate a PDF. I am then doing a Response BinaryWrite in an ASP page with application/pdf specified as the ContentType.

This is all taking place inside an html iframe.

This works fine for the majority of people but some users are reporting the frame is blank. The Acrobat PDF plugin hasn't picked up the PDF at all and hasn't loaded the Acrobat environment.

When I switch Crystal to export a different format, such as html or doc, it works fine so I think this is a problem with the Acrobat browser plug-in.

It feels like either a browser setting or a plug-in problem. I have messed with a lot of the browser settings and haven't found the magic combination.

Has anyone seen anything like this or have any suggestions?

Adding a PDF Stamp Comment

OK, so you want to stamp your document. Maybe you need to give reviewers some advice about the document's status or sensitivity. This tip from author Ted Padova demonstrates how to add stamps with the Stamp Tool along with related comments.
