Hello,

In order to get developer support from Adobe, you will need to open a
support case -
https://partners.adobe.com/asn/developer/support/devsuplogin.jsp

However, I'm sure some of the experts in this forum would be happy to
help you free of charge...

Dear Adobe .. you make a wonderful product in Acrobat .. but I'm sure
your aware v6 has some issues. I'm really pleased your changes to the
API have given me the opportunity to re engineer a clunky but quite
functional application based upon the v5 API. When are you planning a
patch ?? In the interim ..
could you or some other member of the forum PLEASE explain ..

if the VB Array element index(x,0) contains "mbook.pdf" WHY does the
following function call work

bFileOpen =
AVDoc.Open("\\pcisrvr1\Pciwwmkt\pci\mxw10\mkttools\book\shell" &
Mid(Index(x, 0), 1, InStr(1, Index(x, 0), ".pdf") - 1) & ".pdf",
Index(x, 0))

but the following two do not ???? (see attache file for error)

bFileOpen =
AVDoc.Open("\\pcisrvr1\Pciwwmkt\pci\mxw10\mkttools\book\shell" &
Index(x, 0), Index(x, 0))

Fname = "\\pcisrvr1\Pciwwmkt\pci\mxw10\mkttools\book\shell" & Index(x,
0) bFileOpen = AVDoc.Open(Fname, Index(x, 0))

I've noted a similar behavior with the pddoc.save call .. seems the
character proceeding the comma delimiter in the params passed to the
function NEEDS to be a quote ???????
