When working with the link tool in Acrobat 5 you could mark up text by holding down the Control key. In Acrobat 6 however this function doesn't work. Is there another shortcut or do I have to use the text tool and right-click my text selection?

Hopefully there's another solution to this. Working with the text tool and right-clicking is a PITA.
