Any reason you are building your own rather than helping out
on one of the MANY existing .NET libraries? You can even choose
between C#, J# or VB.NET -based ones...

Unfortunately, there isn't such a tool at this time. Acrobat
is a good start, though it will allow many files that aren't 100% to

Another option is to use of the open source libraries that
supports reading PDF documents and opening your files up with it and
tracing through the parser to see where/if it fails.
