Adobe aids anti-counterfeit efforts with 'secret' technology
The U.S. Department of Treasury last year released the first of a series of redesigned paper currency, with new protective measures designed to thwart counterfeiting efforts. The Associated Press reports today on a previously undisclosed additional safeguard -- Adobe Systems apparently added third-party detection technology to at least one of its commercial software programs, as we explain in our Planet PDF Weblog for Friday. Create 3-D glasses in PDF to view NASA's Mars pix
During its current Mars mission, NASA is capturing and transmitting numerous 3-D images from the planet's surface, requiring special special colored-lens glasses for viewing. Adobe posts Reader 6.0.1 in tandem with Digital Media Store launch
After a lengthy absence from its once-active and visible role in the world of eBooks, Adobe Systems appears to be plunging back into the digital content market with a launch of its own Digital Media Store and a related release of an update (v.6.0.1) to the free Adobe Reader.
