Acrobat 4.0. What it's got for us

Adobe Systems Inc. announced the release of Acrobat 4.0 at Seybold in the past week. It will be available late March. So where is Adobe's software heading? Into a seamless convergence. Acrobat now works with Illustrator and Photoshop. Add to this new products for managing and creating PDFs like GoLive (for web publishing) and InDesign (for professional design and publishing) and Adobe is placed at the forefront of where software is taking us.

In Adobe's official press release and FAQ they outline the future for Acrobat users. It marks what appears to be a fantastic array of new tools and looks set to mark the direction in effective document collaboration and workflow into the next millenium. It also seems as if the "Acrobat Exchange" has gone and from now on we are to call it just "Acrobat". Go to Adobe and see the Web cast featuring Adobe founders John Warnock and Chuck Geschchke, including demonstrations of what can be done with their newly released applications.
