Global Graphics will unveil first JDF-Enabled Harlequin RIP
Will demonstrate at drupa 2004 in Germany in May

30 March 2004

The first JDF-enabled Harlequin RIP will be demonstrated by Global Graphics at drupa 2004. Global Graphics will be present alongside other JDF-capable vendors and developers in the CIP4 JDF Parc. More than 25 leading vendors at drupa will be demonstrating a wide range of products featuring Global Graphics production technology, including: AB Dick, Agfa-Gevaert, Compose, Creo, Screen, ECRM, Heidelberg, KPG, PressTek, RealTimeImage, and Xitron.

Within the PrintCity Networking Hub, Global Graphics will demonstrate the new JDF-enabled Harlequin RIP specifically handling a remote proofing application as part of a live‚ multi-vendor integrated production workflow. In the demonstration, PDF files delivered by an Agfa workflow will be automatically processed by the Harlequin RIP and output at high speed and quality to an inkjet proofer.

Visitors and OEMs will be able to see the full, JDF v1.1 compliant capability of the Harlequin RIP as it automatically controls rendering, screening, trapping, color management, calibration and output of combined or separated files both here and in the CIP4 JDF Parc.
