Enfocus Software CEO David van Driessche has put out the following call seeking qualified, interested beta testers for a couple in-development products aimed at prepress users of PDF:

"As we develop new software we have a beta team of people who do external quality assurance for our products. We've been working with some people quite a few years but are always looking for more.

Requirements are that you are willing to spend some time testing products and reporting any problems you find. And also that you agree to not discuss any of the products you test; an agreement to that extent has to be accepted when you enter the beta web site.

At this point we are particularly looking for:

1. People who want to test the next version of PitStop Server. As this version of PitStop Server is fully Mac OS X compatible and this is a new operating system for us we are really looking for beta testers on OS X (but Windows and Mac OS classic users are more than welcome to join as well).

2. We are also working on a 'product' that is targeted towards users who implement a Certified PDF workflow. Sorry to be mysterious about it, but I cannot give any details until after you become a beta tester. For this product we are interested in anyone who is already working with Certified PDF in a workflow, or who is looking at implementing it shortly."

van Driessche adds that "we expect to have pretty quick release cycles on a number of products and having a good beta team will be crucial in making sure we deliver quality software."
