Understand the internal structure of a PDF file

PDF Crystal is an essential tool for PDF developers wanting to examine, browse and understand the internal structure of a PDF file. It enables you to generate HTML or text versions of you PDF.

  • HTML Output - Output the PDF files to human-readable HTML, including hyperlinks for indirect objects and file offset references.
  • PDF/text Output - Output the file to PDF/text so both humans and Acrobat can read and understand.

Use one of the forms below to upload your document. Note that even with DSL connections, uploading large files is slow, so it may take a minute or more to upload a large document.

HTML Output

In this output format, the text is fully colorized and hyperlinks connect all indirect objects, making browsing and understanding the PDF file a breeze.

Text/PDF Output

This output format is readable by both machines and humans. In other words, it's still a valid PDF file that can be read by Acrobat. However, it's also readable by humans. It's reformatted into friendly text.
