There's a (PDF) Quiz today!
Prof. Story posts interactive math test demo

Professor Donald Story (D.P.) has uploaded another experimental math quiz, built using Adobe Acrobat with document-level JavaScript. He welcomes volunteer testers--preferably those comfortable with both PDF and advanced mathematics.

"This is a series of practice questions in differentiation," says Dr. Story, a well-known and respected member of the online PDF Community for some of his past creations and white papers. "The user enters his/her response in the text field, and the Document-level JavaScripts attempt to judge whether the response is correct, and generates a message accordingly."

Download and administer the short exam [PDF -- 56 kb] to yourself after fetching it from his Web site.

For those who may need to know, he says the document is configured to keep track of incorrect responses. If/when you're ready to give up, click on the answer button.

If you discover any bugs or glitches, or have a suggestion, Dr. Story requests that you please let him know via email.

Interact with PDF at AcroTeX

When you're ready for more interactive activities based around advanced math, or to see what's possible with sophisticated applications of PDF Forms, Pdfmarks, etc., spend some time browsing Dr. Story's AcroTeX site.
