Appligent updates enterprise-class redaction software

Appligent Document Solutions has announced the availability of version 3 of its enterprise-class Redax Enterprise Server software for Windows, Linux 32-bit and 64-bit, and Solaris. According to the company, AIX and HP-UX releases will follow shortly.

Unite, the UK's second largest Union, has demanded a meeting with WWF, the world's leading environmental organisation, in a bid to prevent negative consequences on workers in print industry from WWF's announcement of unprintable file format. Unite has written to WWF for an immediate meeting on this issue with Unite and representatives from Print industry.

AnyBizSoft announces Mac PDF Editor beta

AnyBizSoft has announced the beta release of its PDF Editor for Macintosh systems. With the integration of the vendor's existing PDF to Word conversion technology, the product allows Mac OS X users to edit text, insert images, and annotate PDF files. The software can also be used to convert PDF files into Word documents.

PDF Expert for iPad fills forms, syncs with Dropbox

Readdle has released PDF Expert for iPad 2.0, a major update to its PDF editing product for iPads. The new version allows users such as sales staff to fill out and sign PDF forms on their iPads. Various interactive elements of the forms can be manipulated in this way, including text fields, check boxes, radio buttons and list boxes.
