Global Graphics upgrades gDoc PDF Server

Global Graphics has launched version 5.1 of gDoc PDF Server(TM), its server-based PDF software that manages the conversion of multi-format documents into PDF files. Version 5.1 includes updated platform support for Microsoft Windows Server 2008 (32- and 64-bit) and Windows 7. In addition, the integration with Microsoft Office has been updated with a ribbon toolbar, for Office 2007 and Office 2010.

Phone cameras are handy for note-taking, but when you want to share images it's irritating to have to send them one at a time. The Pocket Scanner app lets you collate images from your photo library and print to PDF. You can then send the finished product from your phone's email client.

Zero-day flaw discovered in Flash, Acrobat and Reader

Adobe has warned that a critical vulnerability (CVE-2010-2883) in the most current version of its Flash Player is being actively exploited on Windows computers. The company said that the flaw, which was discovered by security firm Trend Micro, could allow attackers to "take control of the affected system."

Datalogics will provide extended platform support, porting services, and core API maintenance and enhancements to TS3D; TS3D will provide licensing, support and engineering-focused enhancements to its customers, including support for native 3D PDF data types (PRC and U3D).
