Aloaha releases Digital Signature Pack

Aloaha Software recently announced the release of a software package to enable qualified digital signatures. Aloaha's parent company, Wrocklage Intermedia GmbH, has created a package to accelerate the acceptance of digital signatures/e-ID Cards by creating an easy way to digitally sign documents. The package includes a PC/SC capable Smartcard Reader, a smartcard and the Aloaha PDF Suite -- all of which combine to create digitally signed PDF documents from Windows applications.

PDF Webinars to offer Section 508 clinic

PDF Webinars has announced that it will be running a Section 508 clinic in early August. The two-part clinic targets U.S. Federal Government agencies who need to produce Section 508-compliant PDFs and private sector companies and contractors who work with U.S. Federal agencies. Attendees will learn how to best use new tools in Acrobat 7 to make legacy PDFs accessible, and will cover strategies for making accessible forms from scratch.

Airbus standardizes on Adobe Acrobat 7

Adobe recently announced that the Toulouse, France-based Airbus has elected to standardize it's worldwide operations on Adobe Acrobat 7. 32,000 seats of Acrobat -- spanning both Standard and Professional flavors -- will be rolled out over the rest of the year to streamline the international aircraft manufacturer's document generation, collaboration, security and archival processes.

Quark and Enfocus join forces

Quark has announced a strategic alliance with prominent PDF prepress company Enfocus Software. The pact's aim is to "to improve the overall PDF experience within QuarkXPress, and provide bundled solutions that streamline Certified PDF-based workflows," according to Quark's press release.

LineType Releases LineScale v1.60

LineType Software, Inc. today announced the release of LineScale version 1.60. The new version is compatible with Adobe Acrobat and Reader 5.x and above. The Nashville, Tennessee-based software company develops electronic document tools for design professionals, and this plug-in fits into that niche nicely.

FormRouter announced last week announced a new subscription pricing schedule for its LiveCycle Reader Extensions Service. The service allows subscribing organizations to deploy individual PDF forms with advanced usage rights such as digital signatures functionality and the ability to fill and save them offline.

LineType Software releases digital signature tool

LineType Software, Inc., a developer of electronic document tools for design professionals, has announced the release of the Banjo Digital Signature plug-in for Adobe Acrobat. The new plug-in is designed specifically for architects and engineers, and the company web site describes it as "the first digital signature tool designed to meet the needs of design professionals and the legal requirements of professional licensing boards."
