Adobe Systems has added a Chicago stop in April to its previously announced series of half-day workshops on "eForms & Web Services Interoperability" aimed at PDF developers working with PDF and/or XML. Space is limited, so register soon!

Federal court report suggests Microsoft targeting Adobe, Acrobat

Massachusetts is the lone state still pursuing harsher punishment for Microsoft's antitrust violations, having not agreed to the previous settlement terms between the software company, the Department of Justice and a number of other states. Late last week the Massachusetts attorney general filed a court report alleging that Microsoft is continuing its monopolistic practices by stifling competition with several Internet search engines and with a similar campaign against Adobe Acrobat/PDF.

Embedding SVG in PDF

The interactive PDF file of a US Census 2000 map -- containing an embedded SVG file -- shows the country by ethnic and age distribution. The map contains interactive hotspots on each state -- moving the cursor to different hotspots reveals data specific to that state about its relevant statistics.
