Adobe recently announced that the Toulouse, France-based Airbus has elected to standardize it's worldwide operations on Adobe Acrobat 7. 32,000 seats of Acrobat -- spanning both Standard and Professional flavors -- will be rolled out over the rest of the year to streamline the international aircraft manufacturer's document generation, collaboration, security and archival processes.

LineType Software, Inc., a developer of electronic document tools for design professionals, has announced the release of the Banjo Digital Signature plug-in for Adobe Acrobat. The new plug-in is designed specifically for architects and engineers, and the company web site describes it as "the first digital signature tool designed to meet the needs of design professionals and the legal requirements of professional licensing boards."

A gaffe by the US military has caused an inadvertent information leak in a report that was posted to the Pentagon website over the weekend.
