Dan Shea, a developer of PDF conversion solutions, has announced the pending release of its server-based PDF extraction and creation software. Absolute PDF Server brings the functionality of Investintech's PDF management tools to the server, allowing users to convert content to or from PDF.

In a few short weeks, delegates from around the US and the world will converge on Disney's Coronado Springs Resort in Orlando, Florida to hawk their PDF-related wares, educate and be educated at AGI's annual PDF love-in (AKA The Adobe Acrobat & PDF Conference). The event is becoming an important fixture in the event calendars of many PDF professionals, and Planet PDF will again be a media sponsor and active participant in the show.

PDF Tools AG has announced the release of new product 3-Heights PDF Validator and the PDF/A compliance of its 3-Heights Image to PDF Converter. The PDF Validator verifies whether PDF documents conform to a specific version of PDF or to the new international standard for long-term electronic archiving: PDF/A.
